¡A Rockear!
Hello friends of Hive and PukuMundo, I'm Fernando Benedetti from @fernanblog and today I'm pleased to bring you my presentation for week 9 of the PukuConcurso "La Voz Cantante". I am very happy with the receptivity within the community, both from the leaders and my fellow artists, it has been great how we have all supported each other to make this initiative a total enjoyment.
You all know that I started in the contest in week 6, this would be my 3rd participation already; this time I will raise the bar a little more, so I will perform again a song that has both melodic and guttural voice. In this case the guttural voice has minimal variations and in the melodic voice I use falsetto for the high tones because it is very difficult for me to reach them in a natural way.
The song is called "Black Damask" by the northamerican gothic metalcore band Motionless In White, from their 2nd studio album "Infamous" released in 2010. With this song I met this incredible band, for my criteria they are the best in the genre at the moment, in fact, they have a new album coming out in June and I'm already anxious to listen to it since I'm a big follower of their work.
As you may have seen, for this type of songs I usually read the lyrics, as I did in my previous entries, it is basically to avoid making a mistake in any word when pronouncing it, because of the speed of the phrasing it is common for this to happen. I hope you like it friends and thank you very much for the support you gave me in week 7 after winning the contest, I appreciate it very much.
I congratulate all my fellow artists who participate week after week for their perseverance and dedication, last week due to some obligations I could not participate, however, here I am back exploring, learning and doing my best to improve.
A hug to all PukuBrothers and PukuSisters, I love you very much, now, without further ado... ¡Let’s rock!
**WARNING:** I am not an expert in guttural singing, I am just a beginner, but it is a fact that the technique badly applied can generate strong damages in the throat and vocal cords, for that reason I recommend that you DO NOT do it if you do not handle part of the basic execution of the technique.
