What happens on day 2 after I bought the chick to the poultry

The period they are, they areamall and they dont have feather on their body just little hair and also the weather is cold and can cause alot of problems to them like cough and mucus from their nose even it can cause death of the chick.
Have prepared for the weather and i make use of tarpaulinto cover the whole placeto prevent cold from catching the birds and also i make use of eletric bulb to add heat to the place but sometimes there might no belight at night. If i go for coal pot which make use of charcoal. But it also has its own disadvantageswhich is if the charcoal drop on the floor it could burn all the place off. Am scaredof that from happening.Am still loking for the best sourceof heat to use.
They have not been eating much ,some are eating while some are together providing heat for themselves. I guess it is because they are small that why they are eating small quantity but they drink alot of water.
The are small so they need proper monitoring from time to time. I watch them to know if tgey need anything.
