In this video I discussed the lesson learned from the Prayer Meeting that held on zoom on the 25th of May 2021.
The meeting started around 9:30pm Nigerian time and I was at the meeting till about 11:20pm when the battery of my device went low and I had to leave.
The focus of the discussion was about been diligent and several Bible verses were used to explain this.
Ecclesiastes 10:18 KJV
By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through.
We should be diligent and not slothful.
Luke 16:10-11 KJV
He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. [11] If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches ?
If you are not faithful in something small, definitely you will not be faithful in something big.
Titus 2:14 KJV
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
I spite of our struggles, we should not be slothful
Galatians 6:2 KJV
Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
We should remind one another the watchword of the month which is to be diligent.
Jude 1:3 KJV
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
We should earnestly contend for faith.
1 Corinthians 14:12 KJV
Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts , seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
Let us be zealous and diligent in using the gift given to us.
2 Corinthians 8:7-9 KJV
Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. [8] I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love. [9] For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
If we want to abound, we should not be lazy.
2 Thessalonians 3:10 KJV
For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
Anybody that does not work should not eat.
We need to work so that we will not be lazy.
2 Peter 1:5-8 KJV
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; [6] And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; [7] And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. [8] For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
There are seven things said here and if these things are kept in mind and add to our faith, we will abound. We will be diligent.
If you want another to be diligent you need to be seen as diligent first. We also need to work together and work diligently not pulling others down
