When you fast and pray, you need to abstain from sexual activities as husband and wife.

Fasting is an act you do with prayer.

Isaiah 58:6 KJV
Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

When you are fasting, let the oppressed go free. You need to loose the bands of wickedness in you. Forgive your fellow men and give to the needy.

Hebrews 13:4 KJV
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

God will judge fornicators and adulterers.

2 Peter 2:14 KJV
Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

1 Corinthians 7:4 KJV
The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

We should not desire to commit adultery with our eyes when fasting.

1 Peter 3:7 KJV
Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

Husband and wife should live together according to the doctrine of God.

Leviticus 18:19 KJV
Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.

Do not have sex with your wife during her monthly period.

For your prayer to be answered, the husband must Honour the wife.

Men should not cover their head while praying and women should cover their head while praying.
