Lessons from the Prayer Meeting and Worship service held on the 29th June 2021 via zoom

It was another great time in the present of God at the Prayer Meeting and the worship service held via zoom on the 29th June 2021 which stated by 9:30pm Nigerian time.

The meeting stated by singing some great hymns followed by prayer. We were also reminded of what was learnt in the last meeting before the day's teaching started.

Romans 1:28 KJV
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Titus 1:16 KJV
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him , being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

There are those pretending to know God. They claim to know God but the God deeds do not reflect in them. They are reprobate.

2 Timothy 3:17 KJV
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

If there is a good deed that you do not like, it means you are not of God. Ee should not be selecting the good deed we want to do. We should do all good deeds.

Psalm 92:1 KJV
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord , and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:

Romans 1:21 KJV
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Proverbs 3:6 KJV
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

We should recognize and acknowledge God in all our ways. Part of the good deeds we should be doing is to always be thankful for to God for all things.

Colossians 3:17 KJV
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Thanksgiving comes with words and deeds.

1 Corinthians 16:14 KJV
Let all your things be done with charity.

1 Corinthians 13:2 KJV
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

Whatever we do without love is nothing. If we do thanksgiving without love, it amount to nothing.

Psalm 105:1-2 KJV
O give thanks unto the Lord ; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. [2] Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

In Thanksgiving, there is calling upon the name of the Lord, that is prayer.
There is singing in Thanksgiving.

Hebrews 13:15-16 KJV
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. [16] But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Thanksgiving involves praising God.
Thanksgiving also involves sharing, offering, giving and sacrifices.

2 Corinthians 9:12-13 KJV
For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; [13] Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men ;

The offering you give is something you prepare
The contribution covers the need of the saints and the church.
