In Venezuela we use the term "papagayo" for that elaboration that we children use to make, and then put it to fly.
Hello beautiful people of the Open Mic community over here Late but sure @eudarcabello is here to participate in the 109th week titled papagayo with a song popularized by Gualberto Ibarreto and composed by Enrique Idalgo called Presagio.
Parrots are known to the birds that for other countries are called macaws, I associate then that word to the flight. At the beginning I said that it was that toy that we usually make and then play to make it fly, my mom was the one who taught me to make them and seasonally was another child who took advantage of the winds to use his. So I also associate parrots with childhood and of course with my mom who passed away a few years ago, as it is still close to Mother's Day that makes me nostalgic.
This presentation shown in the video is for the anniversary celebration of my Universidad Experimental de las Artes (UNEARTE), I was rehearsing for another upcoming activity and I was not even aware of the date, the professor in class on Monday told me that I had to show him a song and Presagio is in my repertoire and he listened to it, there I was accompanied by another fellow cuatrista different from the one in the video and the professor liked it.
Just yesterday I found out about the anniversary celebration of the UNEARTE, but the worst thing is that I had to present myself as a sample of the subject of singing and repertoire, no doubt I was shocked, but I had to solve. I arrive at the place and talk to the instrumental performance speaker that I only did the theme once in class, the cuatrista who accompanied me that time would not go and the track I have I do not feel it fits me well. Miguel Rojas (aka: AQUILITO) you could say that he rehearsed with me, he fixed my tone and told me that I was sometimes slow so go ahead, I am very grateful to him, definitely very good vocalist and partner.
El ave que ayer voló
Lamentado tu partida
Era gaviota perdida
Como perdido es tu amor
El ave que ayer voló
Presagiando tu partida
Era gaviota perdida
Como perdido es tu amor
Tu amor que fue
El agüita de mi calor
El azúcar de mi café
El consuelo de mi dolor
Tu amor que fue
La salida del mismo sol
La frutica demás dulzor
El jardín de mi florecer
Tu amor que fue
El agüita de mi calor
El azúcar de mi café
El consuelo de mi dolor
Tu amor que fue
La salida del mismo sol
La frutica demás dulzor
El jardín de mi florecer
El ave que ayer voló
Presagiando tu partida
Era gaviota perdida
Como perdido es tu amor
El ave que ayer voló
Lamentado de su herida
Era gaviota perdida
Como perdido es tu amor
Tu amor que fue
El agüita de mi calor
El azúcar de mi café
El consuelo de mi dolor
Tu amor que fue
La salida del mismo sol
La frutica demás dulzor
El jardín de mi florecer
Tu amor que fue
El agüita de mi calor

The bird that flew yesterday
Mourned your departure
Was a lost seagull
As lost is your love
The bird that flew yesterday
Foreshadowing your departure
It was a lost seagull
As lost is your love
Your love that was
The water of my heat
The sugar in my coffee
The comfort of my pain
Your love that was
The rising of the sun itself
The fruit of my sweetness
The garden of my blooming
Your love that was
The water of my heat
The sugar of my coffee
The comfort of my pain
Your love that was
The rising of the sun itself
The fruit of my sweetness
The garden of my blooming
The bird that flew yesterday
Presaging your departure
Was a lost seagull
As lost is your love
The bird that flew yesterday
Lamenting his wound
It was a lost seagull
As lost is your love
Your love that was
The water of my heat
The sugar of my coffee
The comfort of my pain
Your love that was
The rising of the sun itself
The fruit of my sweetness
The garden of my blooming
Your love that was
The water of my heat
The sugar of my coffee
The comfort of my pain
Your love that was
The rising of the sun itself
The fruit of my sweetness
The garden of my blooming
