The work entitled "The Waltz King" by Bill Molenhof is considered, to this day, one of the most beautiful musical works ever written for the Vibraphone . This waltz was included in the"Music Of The Day"Music Collection which features six original compositions by Bill Molenhof. The collection has contributed enormously to the development of the Vibraphone as a solo instrument and is invaluable for percussion students starting out in the professional field. That is why in this session of Venezuela, its Music and its Interpreters, we give the warmest welcome to the young Venezuelan percussionist-vibraphonist José Antonio Fermin who plays a fragment of this beautiful waltz, showing us, in that way, the enveloping dimension of this particular percussion instrument.

La obra titulada ′′The Waltz King′′ de Bill Molenhof es, al día de hoy, una de las más bellas obras musicales que se haya escrito para el Vibráfono. Este vals fue incluido en la Colección musical "Music Of The Day" y cuenta con seis composiciones originales de Bill Molenhof. La colección ha contribuido al desarrollo del Vibráfono como instrumento solista y es de un valor incalculable para los estudiantes de percusión que se inician en el ámbito profesional. Es por ello que en esta sesión de Venezuela, su Música y sus Intérpretes, le damos la más cordial bienvenida al percusionista-vibrafonista venezolano José Antonio Fermin quien interpreta un fragmento de este bello vals, mostrándonos, de esa manera, la dimensión envolvente de este particular instrumento de percusión.

Bill Molenhof was born on January 2, 1954 in St. Louis and is an American jazz musician who plays the Vibraphone, the Marimba, and is also an excellent composer. He currently teaches percussion classes at different universities in the United States.

Bill Molenhof nació el 2 de enero de 1954 en St. Louis y es un músico de jazz estadounidense que toca el Vibráfono, la Marimba y, además, es un excelente compositor. En la actualidad imparte clases de percusión en distintas Universidades de Estados Unidos.
