For a while, both Jobim and Vinicius were not satisfied with the initial letter, until one day, when they were both at the Veloso bar (today Garota de Ipanema, on the corner of Prudente de Morais and Montenegro, currently Vinicius de Moraes street) , they decided to rewrite the song and dedicate the verses to a girl who used to walk to the beach. Finally, the verses were like this:

Olha que coisa mais linda, mais cheia de graça
É ela a menina que vem e que passa
Num doce balanço caminho do mar.
Moça do corpo dourado, do sol de Ipanema
O seu balançado é mais que um poema
é a coisa mais linda que eu já vi passar.

In 1963, Norman Gimbel adapted the lyrics to English and the recording by Astrud Gilberto, João Gilberto and Stan Getz was renamed "The Girl from Ipanema", thus becoming a worldwide success.

Here I leave you a version that I did in an instrumental way with the violin, in it I expose, firstly, the entire melodic line of the song, then I try to do some improvisations on the harmonic base and then finish in a "little by little slowing down. I must admit that, improvising in this style is not my strength, but I definitely enjoy it a lot. doing it for that feeling of freedom that musicians allow ourselves to play with our imagination and creativity that is unique and exclusive to that precise musical moment.

Aquí les dejo una versión instrumental con el violín, en ella expongo, primeramente, toda la línea melódica de la canción, luego intento hacer algunas improvisaciones sobre la base armónica para luego finalizar en un "poco a poco ralentando. Debo reconocer que, improvisar en este estilo no es mi fuerte, pero definitivamente disfruto mucho al hacerlo por esa sensación de libertad que nos permitimos los músicos al jugar con nuestra imaginación y creatividad que es única y exclusiva de ese preciso momento musical.
