Mass Indoctrination Day 8 | 9th November, 2022

Greetings brethren, today's meeting was powerful below are the little things I learnt.

LESSONS

• We are the light of the world, God desires that through our lives people will be drawn unto him. Our lives as Christians is supposed to be a laid down example for others to follow. The bible says let your light so shine before men that they will see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven. As believers people should see a difference between our lives and that of unbelievers, our works that is our deeds should reflect Christ. Our works should be the works of goodness and not evil. We are supposed to be pure example of love, we should help those who are in need, love our enemies , in fact, feed them when they are hungry, this is the will of God. God desires that through our lives men will glorify him, through our lives lost souls will be brought back to him. God wants us to live a life that will bring men unto him and not a life that will chase men away from him. Let men see our good works and glorify the father in heaven.

• When we are good to people even of other religions and our lives are truly reflecting Christ we may be able to persuade them to come to God. God desires that all men should be saved. The bible says he that wins a soul is wise, it is very bad to write people off because they are unbelievers, or are doing evil. We are supposed to show them love and pray for God to change them. He that wins a soul is a saviour. The bible says God is happy when one sinner repents. Our lives should be the light that will direct others unto salvation and not to condemnation.

• We as believer are supposed to live an exemplary life, if it happens that a brother or a sister in the church of God is still doing the works of darkness and he refuses to change even after he/she has be called and warned then such should be expelled from the church. The reason is because he can lead others astray, and with such a life, unbelievers will rather blaspheme God. If a person in the church refuses to do the right thing, then throwing him or she out won't be bad. For the bible says bad company can corrupt good character. If he or she refused to change after a lot of corrections then throwing the person out is not wrong. Our lives are supposed to reflect Christ and Christ is love and delights in what is right. We have to keep all evil deeds away and allow only the attributes of God to flow through us.

FORMER BELIEFS

I thought it is not bad to keep people who don't want to change from their evil ways in the church.

EFFECT OF THE TEACHING

I realized from the word of God that bad company corrupts good character therefore, if a person in the church doesn't want to change from his evils ways even after he/she is corrected and cautioned then it won't be wrong go throw such a person from the church, if he not he may mislead others.
