¡Estamos de Aniversario!

Recuerdo que caminabamos uno al lado del otro y él me dijo: "El amor es una decisión", claro ya andabamos saliendo pero no habíamos decidido eso que se llama amor y amarnos para toda la vida.

Pasó algún tiempo luego de ese día y no sabemos como, pero decidimos casarnos, no por que casarnos significara amarnos, pero si por que queríamos hacerlo con todas las de la ley y seguir el ejemplo de nuestros padres.

En cantar de los cantares 8:7 dice: "Las muchas aguas no podrán apagar el amor, ni lo ahogaran los ríos" y ciertamente no todo a sido color de rosa, hemos vivido momentos difíciles, hemos tenido diferencias, ya que no pensamos siempre igual, sin embargo nos hemos mantenido juntos, por que más fuerte es el amor.

Son 11 años, pero muchos más de esta historia y recorrido, que inició en el 2002, cuando la inmadurez era parte de nuestras vidas, pero que nuestro amor y Dios han sido la base que nos mantiene unidos.

It's our anniversary!

I remember we were walking side by side and he said to me: "Love is a decision", of course we were already dating but we hadn't decided what is called love and to love each other for life.

Some time passed after that day and we don't know how, but we decided to get married, not because getting married meant to love each other, but because we wanted to do it with all the rights of the law and follow the example of our parents.

In Song of Songs 8:7 it says: "The many waters cannot quench love, nor can the rivers drown it" and certainly not everything has been rosy, we have lived through difficult times, we have had differences, because we do not always think alike, however we have stayed together, because love is stronger.

It has been 11 years, but many more of this story and journey, which began in 2002, when immaturity was part of our lives, but our love and God have been the basis that keeps us together.

Siempre mostrarse tal cual eres. Nunca fingía, siempre me mostre como la chica que soy Simplemente Eli, si tenía hambre y el me invitaba a comer, comía, no andaba con verguenza, por que las señoritas no comen mucho, diría Tiffany Wilson de la Película White Chicks cuando le dicen que si quiere una ensalada y ella responde "Tal vez nooo".

Hay parejas que fingen, bien sea una u otro, no se muetran como son, ocultan su verdadera personalidad, actitudes e incluso gustos, para agradar a otros y cuando llega la hora de convivir, pues vienen las dificultades, problemas e incluso separaciones.

There are couples who pretend, either one or the other, they don't show themselves as they are, they hide their true personality, attitudes and even tastes, to please others and when the time comes to live together, then come the difficulties, problems and even separations.

Lo mejor de estos once años

Definitivamente nuestros hijos, esos tres seres maravillosos que nos enseñan tanto cada día, con su amor, ocurrencias e incluso nos llenan de paciencia y nos impulsa a ser mejores padres, buscando siempre crecer por amor a ello.

El poder ser apoyo el uno al otro, darnos ánimo para continuar, ayudarnos a alcanzar nuestras metas como pareja y como individuos, no querer cambiar la forma de ser o sus gustos, si no amarse con sus virtudes y defectos. Claro que hay cosas que no me gustan de @josuemonterola y estoy más que segura que hay cosas que a él, no le gustan de mí pero decidimos amarnos así cono somos.

Hoy, celebramos el amor, la felicidad, el poder salir adelante juntos de las dificultades y seguir avanzando. Celebramos este, los años que pasaron y los que vendrán.

The best of these eleven years.

Definitely our children, those three wonderful beings who teach us so much every day, with their love, their witticisms and even fill us with patience and push us to be better parents, always seeking to grow for the love of it.

To be able to support each other, to encourage each other to continue, to help each other to reach our goals as a couple and as individuals, not wanting to change the way they are or their tastes, but to love each other with their virtues and defects. Of course there are things I don't like about @josuemonterola and I'm more than sure there are things he doesn't like about me but we decided to love each other as we are.

Today, we celebrate love, happiness, being able to get through difficulties together and keep moving forward. We celebrate this, the years that have passed and the years to come.
