Our big cactus has bloomed again. As usual, we had to stay up late or get up early to admire it.
The flowers open in the dark and remain there for only a few hours.
One day, all of them opened very high except for one, which I had time to film before it closed its petals. Insects were in a frenetic activity, fluttering around, coming in and out, perhaps because they knew that the feast would soon be over.
At the beginning of the same month, the cactus had bloomed profusely and the buzzing of the bees was impressive in their numbers.
Nuestro gran cactus ha vuelto a florecer. Como de costumbre, debimos mantenernos despiertos hasta tarde o levantarnos de madrugada para admirarlo.
Las flores abren en la oscuridad y permanecen así solo algunas horas.
Un día abrieron a mucha altura todas excepto una que tuve tiempo de grabar antes de que cerrara sus pétalos. Los insectos, en una actividad frenética, revoloteando alrededor, entraban y salían,tal vez porque sabían que pronto se acabaría el festín.
