Bienvenidos a todos a un nuevo proyecto que venía pensando desde hace unas pocas semanas. En este tipo de tutoriales quiero enseñarles a hacer figuras con papel, denominado en Japón como origami, comenzando con la famosa grulla.

Welcome everyone to a new project that I have been thinking about for a few weeks. In this kind of tutorials I want to teach you how to make paper figures, called origami in Japan, starting with the famous crane.

Es un modelo de inspiración para distintos artistas por su destacada elegancia y su forma de enfrentar el peligro, plantando cara a cualquier ataque que reciba.

The crane is a bird native to Japan, which is characterised by its height and its ability to fly. Its plumage is also worth noting, a black and white that stands out from other birds. It is a model of inspiration for different artists because of its outstanding elegance and its way of facing danger, standing up to any attack it receives.

Este animalito tiene una historia y un significado en Japón. Aquí juega el rol de las grullas de papel. Todo esto empezó en la segunda guerra mundial luego del ataque de Estados Unidos con la bomba en Hiroshima.

This little animal has a history and a meaning in Japan. Here it plays the role of paper cranes. It all started in the second world war after the US bomb attack on Hiroshima.

Sadako fue una niña a la cual a la edad de 2 años fue víctima de la bomba atómica. Sobrevivió pero luego a los 9 años de edad contrajo leucemia a causa de la radiación. Durante su estadía en el hospital oyó la leyenda de las mil grullas de papel.

Esperanzada tomo cada papel que encontraba y lo convertía en esta hermosa ave para que la ayudara a recuperarse de su enfermedad. Lastimosamente solo alcanzo a hacer un poco más de 600 grullas antes de morir.

Sadako was a child who at the age of 2 was a victim of the atomic bomb. She survived but then at the age of 9 she contracted leukaemia from the radiation. During her stay in hospital she heard the legend of the thousand paper cranes.

Hopefully she took every piece of paper she could find and turned it into this beautiful bird to help her recover from her illness. Unfortunately she only managed to make a little over 600 cranes before she died.
