Hola amigos || Hello friends

Hablar de este fabuloso videojuego me trae innumerables recuerdos y momentos de mi infancia. Como por ejemplo las discusiones con mi hermana por jugar primero que ella o ella primero que yo. Este era ese juego que hacía olvidáramos nuestra educación. Es que cuando obtuvimos este juego nuestra consola tenía un problema y era que no reconocía el segundo mando. Vaya, recuerdo que esto fue una gran desgracia para nosotros, pues, nuestras discusiones fueron empeorando por jugar. Pero les confieso algo, aquí entre nosotros y aprovechando que sé que ella no leerá esto, me divertía mucho hacerla enfadar, sacarle la lengua y decirle que yo era primero jajaja… Los siento, siempre fui un niño bueno hasta que tenía un control de Nintendo en la mano.

Conocí Adventure Island de casualidad, creo que si no hubiera sido así, capaz este juego jamás lo hubiera conocido. Tenía un tío que en aquellos años tuvo un negocio de esos que fueron muy populares en el mundo, un Club de video. Me gustaba mucho estar allí rodeado de tantas películas y cintas de videojuegos. Era como un paraíso para un niño. O por lo menos así lo veía yo. Vivía muy cerca del Club y a pesar de que era muy niño, a veces me escapaba y me acercaba al Club para devolver el videojugeo que había tomado y llevarme otro, pero un día caminando hacia el Club tropecé con un cartucho de videojuegos y vaya que fue algo asombroso dado que el cartucho no tenía su etiqueta, algo que lo identificara.

^{I knew Adventure Island by chance, I think that if it had not been like that, I might never have known this game. I had an uncle who in those years had one of those businesses that were very popular in the world, a video club. I loved being there surrounded by so many movies and video game tapes. It was like a paradise for a child. Or at least that's how I saw it. I lived very close to the Club and even though I was a very young boy, sometimes I would sneak out and go to the Club to return the video game I had taken and take another one, but one day walking to the Club I stumbled upon a video game cartridge and boy was it amazing since the cartridge didn't have its label, something to identify it.}

Si iba contento al Club, imagínense mi felicidad al devolverme a mi casa para probar que había encontrado. Llegué, preparé todo para saber qué videojuego había encontrado y cuando inserté la cinta en mi NES no la quiso leer. Nada, sabemos que la leyenda dice que las cintas de videojuegos no se podían soplar o limpiar la placa o memoria de lectura. Esta creo que ha sido una de las reglas más rotas en el mundo. ¿O me equivoco? Limpié la placa lo más suave que pude para no dañarla si aún funcionaba. La limpié y a los pocos segundos realicé mi segundo intento y aquí, cuando escuché el inició del juego, casi lloraba. Que increíble que recuerde cada fragmento de este pasado.

I cleaned it and a few seconds later I made my second attempt and here, when I heard the start of the game, I was almost in tears. How amazing that I remember every fragment of this past.}

Era un niño que lanzaba martillos a bordo de una patineta… Grité sí con mucha fuerza y fue como una descarga de energía por la emoción. Empecé a jugarlo y el grito se incrementaba. El videojuego que había encontrado había hecho de mi día el mejor de muchos. Jamás olvidaré ese momento, las peleas con mi hermana, las horas de aventuras o los regaños de mi madre para que me fuera a dormir. En estos momentos el sentimiento y la emoción que tengo al compartir este videojuego con ustedes en inmensamente increíble. Tanto así que siento mis ojos llorosos y un corazón latiendo mucho más rápido de la adrenalina, de la emoción, de aquel recuerdo que jamás olvidaré.

^{I was a kid throwing hammers aboard a skateboard... I screamed yes very loudly and it was like a rush of energy from the excitement. I started to play it and the scream increased. The video game I had found had made my day the best of many. I will never forget that moment, the fights with my sister, the hours of adventures or my mother's nagging me to go to sleep. At this moment the feeling and the emotion that I have to share this video game with you is immensely incredible. So much so that I feel my eyes watering and my heart beating much faster from the adrenaline, from the emotion, from that memory that I will never forget.}

Hubo varias sagas de Adventure Island y por supuesto me hubiera gustado compartir exactamente el primero de esta saga, pero no me funcionó en el emulador y estuve buscándolo y no lo encontré. De todas maneras, no hay mucho cambio de esta segunda Saga a lo que fue la primera.
