Han pasado pocos días desde que fue Noche Buena, y posiblemente para algunos sea un poco tarde que publique algo referente a ello, sin embargo para nosotros los venezolanos es bastante larga, sobre todo los que fuimos criados en la zona sur occidental del país, específicamente en los andes venezolanos, estamos acostumbrados a celebrar la navidad hasta el 2 de febrero, bastante larga dirán muchos, jejejeje, pero en realidad a mi me encanta que sea así, ya que como comenté en una publicación reciente, la navidad es mi época favorita del año.

Hace unos meses atrás una amiga cercana me pidió elaborar un arreglo para un disco de navidad que ella estaba elaborando, en realidad por muchas ocupaciones terminé haciendolo en el mes de noviembre, algo un poco tarde para empezar a grabar un material que se va estrenar en diciembre, no obstante, ellos hicieron un gran esfuerzo para sacarlo a tiempo, y creo que aunque hay detalles de grabación ellos lo hicieron bastante bien. Le pedí el permiso a mi amiga para publicar el arreglo a ustedes y puedan apreciar mi participación en dicho material, ella sin ningún tipo de problema accedió a que lo campartiera en nuestra comunidad.

El arreglo está elaborado para flauta, violín, cuatro, guitarra, bajo, percusión y voces, aunque la percusión no la escribí, ellos pudieron seguir la estructura hecha por el cuatro, instrumento armónico el cual considero como parte de la percusión también.

El género navideño del tema, es conocido como aguinaldo, el cual es una evolución del villancico europeo, el cual puede cantarse con o sin instrumentos musicales. En algunas ocasiones se emplea la improvisación de versos, los cuales suelen interpretarse en cuartetas, redondillas o décimas; esto suele ser común verlo en los andes venezolanos, donde se práctica durante el mes de enero, las famosas Paraduras de Niños, donde los músicos improvisan versos para comentar sucesos que se estén dando en ese momento, como ejemplo, algo jocoso sobre alguna persona que esté presente en la paradura de niño.

Yo crecí haciendo esta actividad, y es que mi abuela, a quien cariñosamente decimos nona, siempre estuvo involucrada en la mayoría que se hacían en el pueblo donde yo vivía, y es quizas en todos esos recuerdos bonitos los que hacen que la navidad sea mi época favorita.

A few months ago a close friend asked me to make an arrangement for a Christmas album that she was making, actually due to many occupations I ended up doing it in the month of November, a bit late to start recording a material that will be released in December, however, they made a great effort to get it out on time, and I think that although there are recording details they did quite well. I asked my friend for permission to publish the arrangement to you and you can appreciate my participation in said material, she without any problem agreed to share it in our community.

The arrangement is made for flute, violin, cuatro, guitar, bass, percussion and voices, although I did not write the percussion, they could follow the structure made by the cuatro, a harmonic instrument which I consider to be part of the percussion as well.

I grew up doing this activity, and it is because my grandmother, to whom we affectionately call ** nona **, was always involved in most of the things that were done in the town where I lived, and it is perhaps in all those beautiful memories that make Christmas is my favorite time.
