Saludos amigos de Hive, quiero compartir mi siguiente cover con la comunidad espero les guste. Si tuviésemos que elegir entre los compositores latinoamericanos que admiran la mayoría de los músicos, estoy seguro que en la lista de muchos estaría Juan Luis Guerra, es que la poesía combinada con el buen uso de melodías, armonías y arreglos, convierte a cada una de sus canciones en un obra de arte.

Greetings Hive friends, I want to share my next cover with the community, I hope you like it. If we had to choose between the Latin American composers that most musicians admire, I am sure that Juan Luis Guerra would be on the list of many, because poetry combined with the good use of melodies, harmonies and arrangements, makes each one of them their songs in a work of art.

Para mí es difícil elegir cual es mi favorita, pues cuando escucho un álbum de él, siento que cada tema me gusta más que anterior, simplemente lo considero un maestro que obviamente ha influenciado grandemente en mi profesión como arreglista y productor musical.

For me it is difficult to choose which is my favorite, because when I listen to his album, I feel that I like each song more than the previous one, I simply consider him a teacher who has obviously greatly influenced my profession as an arranger and music producer.

Este cover es del tema "Cuando te Beso" el cual fue publicado por él en el año 1992. Algo que caracteriza a este compositor es la elegante forma en como describe el romanticismo, y este tema es para mí uno de los más románticos que posee. He escuchado dos versiones hechas por Juan Luis Guerra de este tema, sin embargo la que más me gusta fue una que elaboró con la Orquesta Philarmónica de Santo Domingo, en donde la orquestación resalta en gran manera la belleza que posee dicho tema, convirtiéndolo en una exquisitez para los oídos.

This cover is of the song "When I Kiss You" which was published by him in 1992. Something that characterizes this composer is the elegant way in which he describes romanticism, and this song is for me one of the most romantic that he has. . I have heard two versions made by Juan Luis Guerra of this theme, however the one I like the most was one that he elaborated with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Santo Domingo, where the orchestration greatly highlights the beauty of said theme, turning it into a delicacy for the ears.

La versión que elaboré posee algunos motivos melódicos tomados de la versión sinfónica, pero agregué otros hechos con la voz, a fin de darle un toque personal que espero sea de su agrado. Estas voces no aparecen en el vídeo, ya que las grabé por partes, además de que usé 8 voces que en su mayoría están al unísono al fin de darle el color de un coro, debido a la complejidad que requería grabar dichas voces de una vez sin equivocarme, no agregué el vídeo de las mismas; solo agregué vídeo de la voz principal, cuatro, piano y contrabajo que está hecho con la mano izquierda en el vídeo del lado derecho de la parte de abajo.

The version that I elaborated has some melodic motifs taken from the symphonic version, but I added other facts with the voice, in order to give it a personal touch that I hope you will like. These voices do not appear in the video, since I recorded them in parts, in addition to the fact that I used 8 voices that are mostly in unison in order to give it the color of a choir, due to the complexity that it required to record these voices at once. Without being wrong, I did not add the video of them; I only added video of the lead vocal, cuatro, piano and double bass which is done with the left hand in the video on the right side of the bottom.
