What an interesting theme this samana DNA or ADN there are songs that come from, I could tell you that they come from our genetic code, as is the case with Venezuelan music. In particular, I am passionate about a Venezuelan merengue, a pasodoble from Caracas of what the Antaños play del Estadio a few weeks ago I presented a song of theirs and it was Carmen who was 16 years old, a song that I played accompanied by some percussionist friends.

If we start to think about Venezuelan music, it is very broad, we have joropo in all its variants (central joropo, joropo llanero, joropo tocuyano, etc.), calypso, drum, galerón, bagpipes, in short, endless genres that identify each of us. one of the regions of venezuela, each region is identified with a venezuelan musical genre, it seems that the music of each region comes as the theme of the week says comes in our DNA; but in my thinking, music goes beyond regions and countries, it has no borders, so I think that any music can be part of us regardless of the country, origin or root, there is music that without realizing it is becoming part of our lives as it is the case of the theme that I bring you for my entry this week in HIVEOPENMIC the song is by a Brazilian singer who became popular throughout Latin America and in the world since he is one of the Latin artists with the most copies of albums sold with more than 150 Millions of copies, my mother every day, always when she made the queasers at home, she always listened to Roberto Carlos and his music is really beautiful, his melodies are quite catchy, likewise, when I went to visit an aunt's house, they also listened to him a lot. especially the theme a CAT IN THE DARK, has its origin in Italy. The theme was composed by the Neapolitan Gaetano 'Totó' Savio and the Florentine Giancarlo Bigazzi, the theme was given to Roberto Carlos to participate in the San Remo festival but he did not win. I recorded the song in Spanish and it was one of his biggest hits in Latin America, I love that song, its melody and this song is as if it were part of me, that's why for this week I'll play a cat in the dark by Roberto Carlos with him. saxophone this song is a ballad that begins in the key for the alto saxophone of C major, a comfortable key for playing but then rises medium and remains in C# Major (the key for piano and guitar would be Eb and then E) this last key for the sax makes it somewhat complex to play because all the notes are all sharps (#)

I hope you liked my presentation and that you enjoyed it, as I always tell you, these here at hive to spread music in all its forms, that is the most important thing for me.
