I first hear someone like you early in my university days and the piano melody was what got me attached to the song.

I remember trying to play the song until I figured out the sulpha notes and replaced them with chords.

The song to me is the story of a sorry lover who made mistakes in the past and now has to live with the fact that she can never take those mistakes back and the lover who was mistreated has moved on...I think.
