“Ostinato: noun; a continually repeated musical phrase or rhythm.”
No, not “The Grand Ostin-gato” despite what the photo suggests, I just like my kitty and had to feature him.
I had never heard the word “ostinato” until a few months ago when it was used on a podcast to describe an element of a Fiona Apple song off of her 2020 album “Fetch The Bolt Cutters”. It never occurred to me that there was such a word to describe such a thing. When you think about it, they truly are everywhere.
Inspired by that little piece of information as well as the Franz Ferdinand and Sparks collaboration album “FFS”, I created this silly little song.
