When you look at a water balloon, what makes it so? Is it the water? Is it the balloon? No, it's the symbiotic relationship between the two. One is the inner essence, and one is the outer shell.

Do you know how many cells with YOUR DNA are in your body?

Well, you can look it up but the numbers vary a bit. On average, it looks like the number rests around 37 trillion human cells. I wanted to give you a source for this, but I literally fell down the rabbit hike because so many scientists disagree and so many have their proof to back it up.. lolol so I had to go with the most common concensus, which is 37 trillion.

Can your mind even wrap around that number??? I have a hard time imagining that.

But guess how many bacterial cells are in our body?

That means...cells that do NOT have human DNA, but are rather some OTHER organisms that are hitching a ride in us. Lololol

Again, you can look it up on many sources and they all will vary significantly!! But at its lowest, most recent estimate, the ratio is 1.3 to 1 (meaning we are more than half bacterial cells) and on the highest estimate, we are as much as 10:1 bacteria to human.

No matter which group of scientists you choose to believe, I bet that's more non-human cells inside you than you realized. Overwhelmingly, they all admit that by quantity, "we" are more "them, than "us". 🤓

Though they are MORE, they are also tiny, tiny, tiny. So if you think about it in quantity- they outnumber "us". But if you think about it in terms of weight, we outweigh "them" significantly.

I used to think of them as separate and foreign and worst of all- insignificant.

One of the most ruthless, sinister, and dangerous pesticides (in my opinion) is the one that is currently sprayed on many crops in the US and worldwide. It has been labeled "safe for humans" but do you know who it is NOT safe for? Lolol

The little buddies INSIDE of you that make up about 70-80% of your immune system.(again ..another rabbit hole for sourcing - but most scientists will agree on that range) When the pesticides not only kill the "bugs" on the farm crops ...but ALSO kill the beneficial "bugs" inside you- can you see how this might start a cascading chain reaction that ends very badly for the "host"?

When I realized that the foods I was eating had a devastating effect on this beautiful environment inside of me, designed to help me digest, metabolize nutrients, fight off invaders and more - I realized it's not really us vs them.

I no longer think of myself as some host being that has insignificant invaders, wasting space inside of me, but rather that I'm a true host, "hosting" a party in this shared environment!

I want to:

• keep the drinks flowing,
• serve the best food,
• invite the best clientele,
• kick the losers out,
