Eyes on the Deep. I'm Yours. You're mine.

Someone shared a very cool version of this song earlier this week with me, and I've been singing it ever since. I love the lyrics in this song. In the original version - they sing the chorus over and over and over - and that brings the song to... hmm over 8 minutes long I think! hahaha (Don't worry, mine is only 4 minutes long lol)

Some people feel that type of repetition is unnecessary and annoying.

But for me - I love it.

Sometimes its so hard to BELIEVE the things you're saying. The reptition feels - to me - like it's battling all the doubts. All the reasons why you can't possibly, truly, really feel that those words apply to you.

My faith is my number 1 focus of my life. It's my "Reason for Living" Even on days when it doesn't seem like it, doesn't feel like it - especially when I've screwed up again (didn't I just screw up 5 minutes ago and re-align myself and I seriously screwed up THAT FAST again???) and yet, here I am, asking once again, "Fix my eyes on You. Set my gaze. Hold my focus."

This particular song is talking about that... how fear can just engulf us, literally take us down and drown us. And the lyrics kinda flip that - She asks that she would be taken deeper.

Powerfully bold request. She knows the only way that she can survive is beyond herself.

I've felt those seasons, where my "trust is without borders" and it's the most incredible, limitless, exhilarating confidence and freedom that I've ever experienced.

I'm just so glad that the invitation is always there to come right back.
This is the mood I'm in today.
