We have the privilege of working for an organization that is extraordinary.

If I started listing all the ways that they lead selflessly, inspirationally, lovingly, with care, concern, insight and intention - you would probably all start to think I was making it up. hahaha

But let me assure you, if anything - I'm underexaggerating the character of the Board of Directors and Executive Director of the place we live and work.

I'm actually "on location" for this video - hahaha ooooh, does that make me a real vlogger?

Not sure, but I feel more like one! hahaha

I'm in Pismo Beach, California - the place that our entire staff is brought every year - to prepare us for year ahead of us. If anyone has seen my previous videos (especially the early ones) you'll know that I want to emulate this type of behavior, day in and day out for our staff too.

Some leaders prefer to lead, expecting high standards and driving their staff to that relentlessly to achieve the goals of the company.

Some leaders prefer to dote on their staff, bribing and rewarding to get everyone motivated to move.

I believe that the organization/family we belong to walks the tightrope and balances between the two beautifully. Setting the bar high, but then driving us towards that in love as they lead by example, working hard, lifting morale, charting the course cheerfully and executing orders ethically and with integrity.

That's the kind of leader I want to be. Of course, as a Christian - Christ is the epitome of that for me. But I'm so thankful that I also have some human examples around me too - that show me in a work environment how to emulate that too.

I want to challenge you all to think about the type of leaders that have INSPIRED you. If you have someone like that - feel free to honor them below to and also to give us examples to follow!! Use it as an opportunity to shine the light on them. I really really want people to focus on the AWESOME leaders they've had. (meaning - try not to bring in ANY "bad leaders" as the counterpoint... ONLY bring in the AWESOME leaders so they don't have to share the light with the baddies at all hahahaha)
