When we first moved here, I cannot tell you how TERRIFIED I was that I might come upon one of these creatures. Some people live in the city, and thing the woods are scary. I would risk my life with our woodland creatures ANY day over a city "creature" LOL.
I personally believe that the scariest mammal alive is a human being. Animals at least live by rules to follow.. lol. Humans? They are unpredictable at best, and evil at worst!
But woodland creatures? They will MOSTLY obey the laws and order of nature. If you respect them, and do what you can to stay out of their way - they will MOSTLY leave you alone.
Why do you think a rattlesnake has a rattle? It's to WARN you to stay away.
Why do animals hiss and arch and move into defensive postures? Because they actually want YOU to back away from them. They usually don't want to fight, or attack or eat you! LOL They mostly want you to leave them alone so they can carry on with their animal ways.
But of course, nature is not perfect. LOL And I live in the woods - their territory! So on occasion, they allow their curiosity (and hunger) to lead them into our space.
I'll just let you know right now - NO ONE was harmed, and NO ONE was even in danger of being harmed during the recording of this video. All of us (including our new "pet" are safe, sound, and not at all scared!
My husband and I were just a little bit in awe of the whole situation that transpired, and really thankful that we were able to witness this. Most people would only see these creatures up close with a thick pane of glass between them, and yes - most often that is for good reason!! lol But we got to witness this up close and personal.
This creature was magnificent, and completely blessed our day!!! Hope you get a kick out of the video! hehehe
It's 2 minutes long... and pretty fun! :)
