Hello Hivers!
Trust we're all doing well.
It's being a little while away from here. I always try as much to be part of each week's open mic, but I couldn't participate last week. There has been very epileptic power supply where I stay, but I'm finding ways around making things work.
For this week's theme "Freedom of Expression", I decided to do a song that I have become very familiar with through my childhood. A Hymnal song that resonates through the hymn books of most orthodox churches.
The song talks about the relationship between a worshipper and his God. A relationship which reflects the willingness and resolvedness of a worshipper to worship his God.
The words pf the song have such a cordial tone that might sometimes sound out of place in being used for a Supreme Being... "A friend and A Brother".
But it all shows the freedom of expression a worshipper can have for his God.
Here are the Lyrics (LyricFind):
As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after Thee
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship Thee
You alone are my strength, my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship Thee
As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after Thee
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship Thee
You alone are my strength, my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship Thee
You're my friend
And You are my brother
Even though You are a King
I love You more than any other
So much more than anything
You alone are my strength, my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship Thee
In a similar vein, let's remember to say a word of prayer for the people of Ukraine🇺🇦🇺🇦 even as things seem to keep escalating!
May we see peace soon!🙏
Thanks for listening!
