Hi Hivers, how are you all? I'm sure we're all fine. By the way, my name is @donirosayandi, I'm a guitarist. On this occasion I will sing For the 123rd week of Hive Open Mic, and i will explore the following theme: "A Better World for All." This theme is chosen by the recent Spotlight Artist @daniky, who is an excellent musician and a dear friend to the Hive Open Mic community.
For this week's theme I have prepared a good song, a song yang related to the theme, namely the song called "Laskar Pelangi", this song was popularized by "Nidji."
Nidji, a band from Jakarta formed in 2002, consists of Giring (vocals), Ariel (guitar) Rama (rhythm guitar), Andro (bassist), Adri (drums) and Run-D (keyboards). Initially, Nidji only had five personnel. However, in 2005, Giring introduced one of his friends who is good at playing keyboard keys, Run-D. Other personnel agreed when Giring suggested that Nidji add one more member to the keyboardist position.
The name Nidji comes from the Japanese word, niji, which means rainbow. The diversity of colors and patterns of the personnel is described as the various colors of the rainbow. Niji, which was later changed to Nidji, finally agreed to be their band name.
Nidji debuted through the album "Breakthru" (2006) which carried the singles "Already" (2006) and "Hapus Aku" (2006). The album, which sold 540 thousand copies, successfully led Nidji to become one of Indonesia's top bands. The style of 'plugging in the bulb', which is Giring's trademark when singing, has catapulted the name of the band which has a fanclub called Nidjiholic. They also won the "Best Coming Artist" and "Best Group Band/Duo" awards at the 2006 MTV Indonesia Awards.
The following year, Nidji re-released the album "Breakthru" which had been revised into an English version. The songs "Heaven" and "Shadow" in the album "Breakthru - English Version" (2007) were even used as background music for the series "Heroes" (2007) which was broadcast in Southeast Asia.
Nidji released his second studio album titled "Top Up" (2007). The album was increasingly in demand thanks to hit singles such as "Let", "Don't Forget", "The Meaning of Friends" and "End of Eternal Stories". The single "Don't Forget" which at that time had the upper hand, was used as the original soundtrack for the soap opera "My Name is Mentari" (2008).
Nidji received the honor as the band that created and performed the original soundtrack for the film adaptation of Andrea Hirata's novel, "Laskar Pelangi".
This is the song I sang for Hive #openmic week 123.

This Rainbow Troops song is a song that can motivate and inspire life.
From the song 'Laskar Pelangi' we learn that no matter what life we live we must still be grateful.
We must keep trying to live with all that we have even though we live with shortcomings and still face all the problems of life that come to us.
This song reflects how we live our lives. We must keep trying to live with all that we have even though we live with shortcomings.
Dance and keep laughing
Even though the world is not as beautiful as heaven
Be grateful to the Almighty
Our love in this world, Forever
Love to life
Gives an eternal smile
Even though life is sometimes unfair
But love completes us
I chose this song, because it fits perfectly with the theme chosen by our recent Spotlight Artist @daniky, namely "A Better World for All."
Here are the full lyrics
Mimpi adalah kunci
Untuk kita menaklukkan dunia
Berlari lah tanpa lelah
Sampai engkau meraihnya
Laskar pelangi
Takkan terikat waktu
Bebaskan mimpimu di angkasa
Warnai bintang di jiwa
Menari lah dan terus tertawa
Walau dunia tak seindah surga
Bersyukurlah pada Yang Kuasa
Cinta kita di dunia, Selamanya
Cinta kepada hidup
Memberikan senyuman abadi
Walau hidup kadang tak adil
Tapi cinta lengkapi kita
Laskar pelangi
Takkan terikat waktu
Jangan berhenti mewarnai
Jutaan mimpi di bumi, oh
Menari lah dan terus tertawa
Walau dunia tak seindah surga
Bersyukurlah pada Yang Kuasa
Cinta kita di dunia
