Hive Open Mic 103 : Mimpi Yang Sempurna - Peterpan cover by @donirosayandi

Hi Hivers, how are you all? I'm sure we'll all be fine at the end of this March. Must be fun, right?
By the way, my name is @donirosayandi, I'm a beginner guitarist. On this auspicious occasion I will challenge myself again to sing, by singing the Hive Open Mic #openmic week 103 contest song with the following theme: "Survival." This theme was chosen by @mayorkeys, who are great keyboardists and an inspiration to all musicians.
For this week's theme I have prepared a good song, a song related to this theme is a song from the "Perfect Dreams" popularized by "Peterpan"
Perfect Dream" is a single that brought the name of the band Peterpen skyrocketed in the entertainment world in the country.

This song first appeared on a compilation album titled Acts 2002 Malam and has sold up to 150,000 copies. In 2003, through Musica Studio's, this song was included in Peterpan's debut studio album, Taman Langit. The song "Dream of Perfection" became a phenomenal song for this band from Bandung. The reason, it can be said that this song is what brought Peterpan famous to this day, even after changing his name to Noah. Initially, this band had simple hopes, becoming a famous home band cafe. In 2001, Ariel, who was asked to become a vocalist with his friends, made music from cafe to cafe, including O'Hara Tavern and Sapu Lidi. The songs that are sung are still songs created by foreign musicians with alternative rock genres such as Pearl Jam, Creed, Cold Play, and others. Their game caught the attention of Noey Java Jive who was looking for a new band for a compilation album from Musica Studios. Peterpan also sent a demo containing 3 songs, namely Friends, Perfect Dreams and Sky Garden. Nazril Ilham alias Ariel entered the world of entertainment with his band, Peterpan, in 2000. Rancank music, melo nasal voice and distinctive stage style brought Ariel and Peterpan to the peak of fame.

Ariel was born in Pangkalan Brandan, North Sumatra, September 16, 1981 to three children. Together with friends, he formed Peterpan on September 1, 2000. The initial formation of this band was Andika (keyboards), Ariel (vocals), Uki (guitar), Lukman (guitar), Indra (bass), and Reza (drums).

Initially, this band had simple hopes, becoming a famous home band cafe. The song 'Dream of Perfection' was Ariel and Peterpan's ticket to the entertainment world through the compilation album Acts 2002 Malam. 'Dream of Perfection' became the mainstay song of this compilation album and boosted sales figures to 150,000 copies.

From that simple hope, Ariel and his band opened a new, bigger hope and the door opened little by little. In 2003, Peterpan, under the Musica Studio label, released his debut album Taman Langit. This album was also successful with the Multi Platinum Award and SCTV Award as a Popular Newcomer Album and Band. May 2004, Peterpan re-entered the recording studio to prepare for their 2nd album which is planned for release in August. The album, entitled Bintang di Heaven, achieved fantastic sales. The name 'A Phenomenon Band' is also attached to Peterpan, which then equates Peterpan with the top bands in this country. At a critical time in the Indonesian music industry, the album Bintang di Langit managed to reach sales of 3 million copies, and won award after award. No less than 13 awards from home and abroad were won by Peterpan through the album Bintang di Heaven, including 7 AMI AWARD awards, 2 SCTV Awards, Triple Platinum Awards, and Platinum Berkembar Six from Malaysia, as well as the MTV Music Award in 2005. I think peterpan can survive by putting their dreams and hopes high to become a famous band, and they finally made it happen. This is what made me choose this song, because I think this song fits the theme of the 103rd week of Hive Open Mic chosen by @mayorkeys, namely "Survival".
