What did coffee do for me?

Do you often drink coffee? I drink coffee every day. Normally I drink coffee to wake me up in the morning to start a new day. Or in some other cases, me and my friends "take advantage" of coffee time to meet and chat. But recently, during the time I had to stay at home for many days according to the "not leaving home" regulations of the authorities to prevent the pandemic, I have realized that coffee brings me many other amazing benefits.

Making coffee is a process of enjoyment

In the past, I used to make coffee in a hurry to get to work in time or buy coffee on the way. And drinking coffee is also very rushed. I didn't even realize the taste of coffee until today. When I have to stay indoors and have a lot of time, I spend more time making coffee. And suddenly, I realized that making coffee is also a process of enjoyment. It started when I opened the jar of coffee powder, I could feel the aroma of coffee emanating from it. And then, when I put hot water and let the coffee brew and wait for the coffee to be extracted, I could feel the aroma of coffee stronger. Honestly I missed enjoying a wonderful scent in the mornings before.

Coffee helps me slow down

Maybe the caffeine in coffee stimulates our brains and makes us able of doing things faster. But since I have a lot of free time, I find coffee helps me slow down. It helped me get over the inconvenience and stress of being indoors for days. In addition, it also helps me heal my inner wounds and calms me down to find solutions to my problems. I can say that making and drinking coffee is my kind of meditation.
