Acerca del Autor:
María Luisa González Gragirena de Escobar nació en Valencia, Venezuela, 5 de diciembre de 1898, conocida artísticamente como María Luisa Escobar fue una musicóloga, pianista y compositora venezolana y fundadora del Ateneo de Caracas. Desde los cinco años deedad empieza sus estudios de piano, a los 8 años se traslada con su familia hacia Curazao donde termina cursa la escuela y bachillerato, luego se traslada a Francia para realizar estudios de composición y perfeccionar su técnica pianistica, también estudió canto y violín. Regresa a la capital de Venezuala - Caracas y se casa con José Antonio Escobar Saluzzo, del que toma su apellido para usarlo como alias artístico. Fallece el 14 de mayo de 1985, dejando un gran legado de composiciones musicales.
