ENHOK 1st VHS COVERS - ENJOY THE SILENCE by DEPECHE MODE

Saludos a todos los artistas que conviven en esta comunidad, es un placer para mí compartir una propuesta que vengo diseñando hace semanas, se trata de los COvers en VHS.
Este proyecto lo estoy haciendo con mi proyecto solista ¨Enhok¨

Enhok surge como un proyecto synthwave en el que busco combinar elementos de rock, música electrónica y darkwave.
Todo surgió como un experimento pues no tenia ningun instrumento musical más allá de mi ordenador y un controlador midi además de muchos sintetizadores y drum machines en el medio digital así que me puse a indagar y escuchar otros géneros musicales dentro del post punk y la música electrónica para poder combinarlos con mis influencias del rock.

Producto de ese experimento surgió mi primer EP titulado ¨Embryogenesis¨, que es distribuido por el sello Ruso Skyqode y pueden encontrar en todas las plataformas digitales además de la página web del sello.

Después de un tiempo he estado inactivo en la composición y producción de nuevos temas pero ahora mientras trabajo en lo que será mi primer disco oficial se me ocurrió compartir en esta blockchain un proyecto que me pareció interesante a nivel conceptual, y es de presentar y producir temas de los 80s y 90s que disfruto mucho y presentarlos visualmente como un video tape casero en formato VHS.

Debo mencionar que todos los tracks están producidos por mi persona usando Pro tools, un controlador MIDI AKAI MPK mini, y sintetizadores virtuales como el ARP 2600 V3 de Arturia, Sylenth1, BEATZKILLS Sequel entre otros.

Luego de la preproducción de todos los tracks con MIDI he pasado todos los tracks a formato Audio y he mezclado y masterizado en pro tools la sesión multitrack para lograr el producto final.

En esta oportunidad, el primer cover en VHS que les traigo es nada más y nada menos que el tema de la super banda Depeche Mode ¨Enjoy the silence¨. Todo un clásico de los 80 que te transporta a uno de los momentos cumbre de la música synthpop.
Personalmente me parece genial como la melodía y la letra están tan bien logradas como la musicalización.

Son simples arreglos que van sumando poco a poco hasta que al final llevan a un clímax de melodías encontradas. Solamente el coro es algo que una vez que lo internalizar estará siempre contigo para tararearlo a donde vayas.

Greetings to all the artists who live in this community, it is a pleasure for me to share a proposal that I have been designing for weeks, it is about the COvers in VHS.
I am doing this project with my solo project ¨Enhok¨.

Enhok arises as a synthwave project in which I seek to combine elements of rock, electronic music and darkwave.
It all started as an experiment because I didn't have any musical instrument beyond my computer and a midi controller plus many synthesizers and drum machines in the digital medium so I started to investigate and listen to other musical genres within the post punk and electronic music to combine them with my rock influences.

Product of that experiment came my first EP entitled ¨Embryogenesis¨, which is distributed by the Russian label Skyqode and can be found on all digital platforms as well as the label's website.

After a while I have been inactive in the composition and production of new tracks but now while working on what will be my first official album it occurred to me to share in this blockchain a project that I found interesting at a conceptual level, and that is to present and produce tracks from the 80s and 90s that I enjoy a lot and present them visually as a homemade video tape in VHS format.

I should mention that all the tracks are produced by myself using Pro tools, a MIDI controller AKAI MPK mini, and virtual synthesizers like the ARP 2600 V3 from Arturia, Sylenth1, BEATZKILLS Sequel among others.

After the pre-production of all the tracks with MIDI I have converted all the tracks to Audio format and I have mixed and mastered in pro tools the multitrack session to achieve the final product.

In this opportunity, the first cover on VHS that I bring you is nothing more and nothing less than the theme of the super band Depeche Mode ¨Enjoy the silence¨. A classic of the 80's that transports you to one of the peak moments of synthpop music.
Personally I find it great how the melody and lyrics are as well achieved as the musicalization.

They are simple arrangements that add up little by little until they finally lead to a climax of found melodies. The chorus alone is something that once you internalize it will always be with you to hum wherever you go.
