    Hey buddies!

This time I'm back with Bella Ciao, but this time, unlike the previous versions I've published, I'm with my punk band, the Conati di Vomito (which means gagging in English), a bizarre and particular name we've been carrying around for 23 years now, between ups and downs and continuous changes of line-up due to a lot of different motivations.

Our creed at the time, end 1997, was total anarchy, as shown by our logo (which you can see in the cover picture), remained unchanged over the years. We were young and believed ourselves to be rebels, as often happens at that age, nevertheless, growing up we decided not to change the image and name, to which we care about.

Now the band is composed by me and Basa on vocals, Ciande on drums, Mariusz & Goldberg on guitars and my brother Max on bass.

The previous versions that I made as soloist and in duet, come just "from here", yes because a couple of weeks ago an association contacted us for an initiative that planned to publish a video of solidarity for the current situation related to Covid-19, on their website.

So all of us got to work and recorded their own part of the song, personally I made video and voice in two different times, the one with the mask of V for Vendetta is me.

The video editing is thanks to my brother who assembled it all, and this is the final result that will be published soon on the association's website.

It's not a professional work and has no pretension, on the other hand the music genre we do is raw in itself and imho the video lends itself well to the initiative and the song at the difficult time that the whole world is going through.

For friends who don't understand the Italian language I propose again the lyrics to understand the meaning of the song, that was born after April 25th 1945, when the liberation from the Nazis and the fascist regime took place in Italy at the end of Second World War. This song has become an icon of that event.

    Lyrics translate:

    One morning I woke up

goodbye my Beautiful, goodbye my Beautiful, goodbye my Beautiful,
    goodbye

    one morning I woke up

    and I found the invader

    Oh partisan take me away

goodbye my Beautiful, goodbye my Beautiful, goodbye my Beautiful, goodbye

    oh partisan take me away

    that I'm feeling like dying

And if I die as a partisan

goodbye my Beautiful, goodbye my Beautiful, goodbye my Beautiful, goodbye

and if I die as a partisan

    you must bury me

You will bury me over there, on the mountain

goodbye my Beautiful, goodbye my Beautiful, goodbye my Beautiful, goodbye

you will bury me over there on the mountain

under the shadow of a wonderful flower

And all the people passing by

goodbye my Beautiful, goodbye my Beautiful, goodbye my Beautiful, goodbye

and all the people passing by

will say "what a wonderful flower"

And this is the flower of the partisan

goodbye my Beautiful, goodbye my Beautiful, goodbye my Beautiful, goodbye

    dead for our freedom

and this is the flower of the partisan

    dead for freedom

    Ciao Amici!
