A few shots from the last volcanic eruption in Iceland. The eruption began on July 10, 2023, and was officially declared over on August 5, 2023. By a lucky combination of circumstances, I was in Iceland during that period. Although my plans involved staying far away from the site of the eruption, towards the end of my stay I somehow managed to visit the site of the eruption. Unfortunately, that very night, due to a change in wind direction, it was forbidden to approach the volcano at a shorter distance, so the images were taken from a distance of a few hundred meters.
