Consciousness within humans have been prevailing since that primitive age. In primitive times people fought with nature and dreadful animals. Gradually due to the domination of civilization people have comprehended and started to pay respect to the humanity. Although people are now fighting but that is not with animals rather for land and power. As a nation, we also faced a terrible war in which 3 million people were martyred and two lakh women lost their dignity. Many poets have written different varieties of poems on this subject. Rudro Muhammad Shahidullah has written such a conscious poem whose name ‘Batase Lasher Gondho’. It is one of the most successful poems he has written in his life. In addition to talking about bloody freedom, it is also about a group of people who want to vend freedom today. So in today’s context it is a timely poem. Today I have tried to recite this poem, I hope you will enjoy it.
