My first competition in Caracas | TBT [ESP-ENG Subtitled]

Since I was a child I am very passionate about sports and my parents have always been there to support us at all times and give us those words of encouragement so you feel safe, where I really like Jiujitsu and from the first day I entered the sport I wondered when I could go to a competition and thus to demonstrate that knowledge that one is gradually acquiring and is something that every athlete expects. Over time I was improving and learning the various techniques until I was informed that I had the opportunity to go to Caracas to go to a Jiujitsu tournament, which was very exciting news for all my colleagues and myself, since that moment had finally arrived, where it all happened in 2017.

Desde pequeño me apasionan muchos los deportes y siempre mis padres han estado allí presente para apoyarnos en todo momento y darnos esas palabras de aliento para así uno sentirse seguro, donde me gusta mucho el Jiujitsu y desde el primer día que entre en ese deporte me preguntaba cuando podía ir a una competencia y de esa manera poder demostrar ese conocimiento que uno poco a poco va adquiriendo y es algo que todo atleta espera. Con el tiempo fui mejorando y aprendiendo las diversas técnicas hasta que me informaron que tenía la oportunidad de poder ir a Caracas para ir a un torneo de Jiujitsu, la cual fue la noticia muy emocionante para todos los compañeros y mi persona, puesto que al fin había llegado ese momento, donde todo ocurrió en el año 2017.

It was a very important competition for me, since it was the first time I left home and had to go to Caracas as a great jiujitsu team and thus represent the state of Monagas, which was a great responsibility, however, a unique opportunity that this sport was offering me. It was several weeks of preparation, concentration and fine tuning every detail to go to compete, where two days before the event we did not have to go by bus and we went as a great team to Caracas. Once there the nerves began to grow, since other Jiujitsu schools also attended and it was time to show the talent of each one, plus by then I only went with the company of my brother and the whole team.

Fue una competencia muy importante para mí, ya que era la primera vez que salía de casa y tener que ir hasta Caracas como un gran equipo de jiujitsu y de esa manera representar al estado Monagas, la cual era una gran responsabilidad, sin embargo, una oportunidad única que me estaba ofreciendo este deporte. Fueron varas semanas de preparación, concentración y afinar cada detalle para ir a competir, donde dos días antes del evento no toco irnos en autobús y nos fuimos como un gran equipo para Caracas. Una vez allí los nervios comenzaron a crecer, ya que también asistieron otras escuelas de Jiujitsu y era el momento de mostrar ese talento de cada uno, además para ese entonces solo fui con la compañía de mi hermano y todo el equipo.

Every second that was there I could enjoy it to the maximum, learn and see new things of that sport, besides I had to fight several times and in the last one I lost, even if it was a unique experience that I enjoyed, I managed to bring that medal for the house, as well as to go to Caracas and to know it a little, since when one goes as a team can not be invented to go for a walk, but only to do what is indicated. So friends this competition was a great adventure, challenge and for the amount of years that have passed I still remember it.

Cada segundo que estuvo allí lo pude disfrutar al máximo, aprender y ver cosas nuevas de ese deporte, además me toco luchar varias veces y en la última perdí, aun si fue una experiencia única que disfrute, logre traerme esa medalla para la casa, como también ir a Caracas y poder conocerla un poco, ya que cuando uno va como equipo no puede estar inventado de salir a pasear, sino solo hacer lo indicado. Así que amigos esta competencia fue una gran aventura, desafío y para la cantidad de años que han pasado aún la recuerdo.
