Enseñando a los hijos que la familia esta primero | Un fin de año con adversidades [SPA/ENG]

Saludos amigos de Hive feliz años nuevo para todos, mis mejores deseos para ustedes, que sus metas y objetivos trasados este año que inicia, encuentren la menor cantidad de obstáculos, para que pronto los puedan ver cristalizados. Hoy deseo compartir con ustedes un corto video de nuestro compartir de fin de año familiar, no es mucho lo que puedo mostrar, ya que tampoco fue mucho lo que hicimos, sin embargo, fue una ocasión de mucha reflexión y un tiempo de aprendizaje para mis hijos y de eso quiero contarles.

Greetings friends of Hive, happy new year to all, my best wishes to you, that your goals and objectives for this year that begins, find the least amount of obstacles, so that soon you can see them crystallized. Today I want to share with you a short video of our end of the year family sharing, it is not much that I can show, because it was not much what we did, however, it was an occasion of much reflection and a time of learning for my children and that's what I want to tell you.

Pues resulta que mi madre ha tenido que enfrentar la dura enfermedad del cáncer, ya fue intervenida quirúrgicamente pero aún debe recibir quimioterapia, a esto se le ha sumado problemas con su vista que han requerido cirugía también y más recientemente ha sufrido de fuertes dolores en una de sus piernas al punto que ningún calmante recetado por los doctores alivia su dolor, han sido noches en vela y mucho apoyo para ella, además de toda la atención familiar deseando su pronta recuperación, y los niños no están ajenos a esta situación.

It turns out that my mother has had to face the hard disease of cancer, she has already undergone surgery but still has to receive chemotherapy, to this has been added problems with her eyesight that have also required surgery and more recently has suffered severe pain in one of her legs to the point that no painkiller prescribed by the doctors relieves her pain, have been sleepless nights and much support for her, plus all the family attention wishing her speedy recovery, and the children are not oblivious to this situation.

Cada vez que les es posible, mis hijos abrazan a su abuela y le manifiestan su cariño, mi hija mas pequeña pese a su condición comprende que la abuela esta pasando por una situación difícil, y no deja de decirle que la ama, sin embargo, ellos a pesar que se muestran comprensivos con la situación hicimos el esfuerzo para que también este fin de año pasaran un rato ameno, que aparte de sus mentes por unos instantes la adversidad, que comprendan que pese a las dificultades, el estar juntos como familia y compartir un momento agradable es posible.

Every time it is possible, my children hug their grandmother and express their affection, my youngest daughter despite her condition understands that the grandmother is going through a difficult situation, and keeps telling her that she loves her, however, although they are sympathetic to the situation we made the effort so that this year end also spend a pleasant time, that apart from their minds for a moment the adversity, to understand that despite the difficulties, being together as a family and share a pleasant moment is possible.

Para hacer algo diferente con ellos compre algunos fuegos artificiales, lo mas inofensivos posible, con el propósito que se divirtieran un rato, y como pueden presenciar en el video, la pasaron bien, fue una experiencia totalmente nueva para ellos, me agrado verlos sonreír y divertirse un buen rato en medio de la situación, ver cambiar la cara de mi hijo mayor que había pasado todo el día apesadumbrado fue grato.

To do something different with them I bought some fireworks, as harmless as possible, with the purpose of having fun for a while, and as you can see in the video, they had a good time, it was a totally new experience for them, I was pleased to see them smile and have a good time in the middle of the situation, seeing the face of my oldest son who had spent the whole day saddened was nice.

Esta experiencia me hizo recordar una que tuve en mi niñez, mi abuela materna también sufrió de cáncer, fueron mas de 15 años luchando contra la enfermedad, puede recordad muchos de sus bueno momentos y también muchos de sus más difíciles momentos. Una vez fuimos de visita a su casa, quedaba a 6 horas de la nuestra. El viaje lo hicimos mi madre y dos de mis hermanos, el más pequeño cumplía ese mismo día del viaje 2 años y mamá imagino que por las dificultades de la enfermedad de mi abuela y lo largo del viaje lo olvido.

This experience reminded me of one I had in my childhood, my maternal grandmother also suffered from cancer, it was more than 15 years fighting against the disease, I can remember many of her good moments and also many of her most difficult moments. Once we went to visit her house, it was 6 hours away from ours. The trip was made by my mother and two of my brothers, the youngest one was 2 years old that same day of the trip and I imagine that due to the difficulties of my grandmother's illness and the long trip she forgot him.

Mi hermano aun siendo muy pequeño fue capaz de decir que cumplía dos años, y mi abuela a pesar de su dolor, pudo hacerlo a un lado y rápidamente organizar un cumpleaños feliz, recuerdo que se compro una torta y se colocó música en el radio viejo de la abuela, la recuerdo bailando en la sala de su casa con nosotros, una imagen que me ha acompañado toda mi vida, que me enseño que las adversidades no tienen por qué quitarnos la felicidad.

My brother, even though he was very little, was able to say that he was turning two years old, and my grandmother, despite her pain, was able to put him aside and quickly organize a happy birthday, I remember buying a cake and playing music on grandma's old radio, I remember her dancing in her living room with us, an image that has stayed with me all my life, that taught me that adversity does not have to take away our happiness.

Por esa razón hice todo lo posible por que mis hijos también pudieran disfrutar y sentirse felices al compartir con la familia, mi abuela me dio un gran ejemplo ese día, trato de honrar sus enseñanzas y por eso me esfuerzo que mis hijos también aprendan que a pesar de las dificultades es posible ser felices, que la familia esta primero y que la solidaridad es esencial en nuestro crecimiento personal.

For that reason I did everything possible so that my children could also enjoy and feel happy to share with the family, my grandmother gave me a great example that day, I try to honor her teachings and that is why I strive that my children also learn that despite the difficulties it is possible to be happy, that the family comes first and that solidarity is essential in our personal growth.
