Solana Blockchain - Scalability solution & not an Ethereum killer - Part II

Solana is a super fast, high performance and extremely low cost blockchain. In this video series, we demonstrate Solana's ultra fast transaction speed by swapping some SOL tokens to RAY and then stake on Raydium.

Solana undoubtedly, is the modern day Mercury which sits atop zenith when it comes to speed. It's like flying a F16 next to propeller draggers. I mean, no offence to propellers, but they are slow and so are other blockchains at the moment. Scalability is an impediment to our transition onto the next level. And Solana solves exactly that and much more.

Contrary to the belief making rounds, Solana is not an Ethereum killer but rather a scalability solution. This post will be a part of the series that I will use to cover Solana. And, Is it why you ask? Because I truly believe in this project for it has unlimited potential to break down existing barriers.

Solana at present has a transaction speed as high as 50,000 to 65,000 per second and a nominal fee around $0.00001 per transaction. Solana team believes that the blockchain could theoretically scale as high as 710,000 TPS on a 1 Gigabit link and 28.4 million TPS on 40 gigabit. I honestly, don't imagine what to expect when that happens.

Solana has achieved so much in such a short span of time. It has seen exponential growth with a global community of over 650k members.
