Good day, beloved Hivians and AfriTunes community members! I warmly welcome you to my blog, it is both a privilege and an honor to have you here. I go by the name @cuteboi on Hive.
For this week's AfriTunes Weekly Performance Contest, I will be singing a cover of the song "Aboki Ka / Jesus Friend", originally sung by Godswill T Joe. This beautiful song is a combination of both English and Hausa from northern part of Nigeria.

This song carries a deep and meaningful message. In today’s world, many people come into our lives as friends, often because of what we have, whether it's our character, resources, or status. But the moment those things are gone, they disappear, and everyone goes their separate ways. However, the case of Jesus Christ is different. He became my friend not because of anything I did, but because He genuinely loves me. He came into this world and died for all mankind, even though we were all sinners. He took our place so that we could be called righteous.

The most amazing thing is that He did all of this for free, the only thing required of me is to believe in Him. He became my friend without me doing anything, and to strengthen our friendship, all He asks is that I believe in Him just as He believed in me. He is always there, not just in the good times, but in the bad times as well. Jesus has proven Himself to be a true, faithful, and reliable friend.
Since Jesus first loved me, I will love Him in return. I will never worship any other god but Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End.
