Am Strand von Fuerteventura "Playa de Sotavento"

2012 we lived one year in "Costa Calma""Playa de Sotavento" is a 5 km long beach section of the southern east coast of Fuerteventura. The beach is divided into the sections "Playa Risco del Paso" (Risco del Paso is also the name of the small village here) and "Playa Barca". There are surf spots at both beach sections. Every year the windsurfing and kiteboarding world championships take place here.

"Playa de Sotavento" ist ein 5 km langer Strandabschnitt der südlichen Ostküste von Fuerteventura. Der Strand ist aufgeteilt in die Abschnitte "Playa Risco del Paso" (Risco del Paso heißt auch der kleine Ort hier) und "Playa Barca". An beiden Strandabschnitten stehen Surf-Spots. Jedes Jahr finden hier die Windsurfing- und Kiteboarding-Weltmeisterschaften statt.
