As soon as I read the theme of this week's The Coffee Shop Prompt, which is the 36th, the name Café Noisette immediately came to my mind. This cafe is located in La Carlota in Caracas and if my memory serves me well, it must be about two decades old on the main avenue of La Carlota.
The cafe was established by two Frenchmen who fell in love with Venezuela and stayed in these tropical lands. I love it not only because you can eat crepes in the best French style and yummy desserts, but also some evenings of the week they also have live music.
So looking through my photo gallery, I found some photos of a visit to Café Noisette last year that I made with two of my friends. It's a place I sometimes visit with my friends when we want to listen to live music and chat. That evening by chance, the group that was playing, whose name I don't remember, was a group of French musicians.
That day we didn't have coffee that I remember, but two glasses of Tinto de Verano and my friend M had a beer. We ate crepes. One with brie cheese, walnuts, and honey was delicious.
And that day, I tried their onion soup. I love onion soup. And for years I've been a little frustrated after the restaurant in town where I used to have the best one closed. But I must say this one was pretty good.
The decoration of the Cafe is like that of any small traditional cafe you might find in the streets of France with vintage posters. And a bar, which is usually run by its French owners.
So that afternoon we listened to the group of French musicians, and here is a little clip, which by the way is the first video I uploaded on 3Speak ;)

And we spent an evening with nice music, yummy food and drinks and lots of chatting.
And we closed the evening with a Nutella crepe with banana that was super yummy, but as I told you before, we didn't have coffee that day.
But on my following visit to Cafe Noisette, I did have coffee.
This visit, which did include coffee, did not have live music but it was very special. It was also last year after one of the events of my son's high school graduation.
We went there at the end of the morning to have a brunch. We had crepes. One of mushrooms and cheese and a crepe bretonne. Both were delicious.
And then we shared a Nutella and banana crepe and had a couple of cappuccinos that I recall to be delicious.
Two different experiences in the same Cafe but both charming and fun.
I've been back a couple of times to listen to live music. and the truth is that in Cafe Noisette I always have a good time and the food is tasty.
Thank you for reading.
