First Impressions at Web3 Amsterdam

When we arrived at the venue, we were initially skeptical. The entrance seemed almost deserted, and for a moment, we wondered if we were in the right place. However, once inside, the transformation was incredible. The event was alive with energy, featuring vibrant booths, passionate innovators, and engaged attendees.

One of the highlights was the #Hive booth, which turned out to be far more impressive than expected. The display was sleek, professional, and completely aligned with the spirit of the Hive community—except for one small detail. Instead of "Owned by us," the booth proudly displayed "Ovened by us." This simple typo became an inside joke, leading to endless fun as we played along with the idea that Hive was now "cooking something special."

Engaging with the Community

Beyond the aesthetics, the best part of Web3 Amsterdam was the people. @roelandp, a Hive OG based in Amsterdam, heard about the event and that @Crimsonclad would be attending. He made sure to stop by, and what started as a casual visit turned into him actively standing at the Hive booth, passionately explaining Hive to others. Seeing his dedication and enthusiasm firsthand was truly inspiring. We are sure he missed this, a lot.

Another major highlight was reuniting with Crimsonclad. Her energy and deep knowledge of #Hive made a huge impact as she passionately engaged with attendees, answering questions and spreading the word about what makes Hive special. Her ability to articulate the value of Hive in a way that resonated with newcomers was impressive, and it was fantastic to see her in action once again.

One of our key takeaways was the importance of real-world interactions in Web3. Online engagement is crucial, but there’s something uniquely powerful about shaking hands, having face-to-face discussions, and exchanging ideas in person.

Celebrating Our Dolphin Milestone

A major highlight from this week was reaching #Dolphin level on Hive! This is a huge #achievement that represents not only our personal growth but also the power of the Hive #community. Becoming a Dolphin means we've reached a level where we can have a greater impact, helping to support and curate content within the #ecosystem. During our latest podcast, we embarked on a fiery flavor #adventure, thanks to a very special gift from the owner of Day Dream restaurant in The Hague—an incredible hot sauce called Madam Jannett Hot Kisses. With a name like that, we knew we were in for a ride!

We paired it with some ridiculously juicy pastrami that practically melted in our mouths. At first, the sauce blended so smoothly with the meat that we barely noticed the heat.
