microclimates and success in my medieval quarter garden!

Blessed gardening souls!

Here is a video sharing from my Italian tiered gardens... showing some highlights in this very particular period where a spring-like vitality is returning to the plants and soil, following a long drought and excess of heat and light.

I'm sharing how the garden has has specific successes, by my working with natural order and microclimates, and encouraging plants that have self-seeded and thrived with minimal maintenance.

It's very exciting to be at the phase of development in the gardens, where the holistic view of it is becoming more clear; I can feel more easily into what tweaking will bring more nutriment and less problematic over-growth, in each area.

The first year or two of transforming a very jungle-y piece of land is always challenging and more effort-full than following years. It takes a strong spirit to keep up the activity, to pace oneself and to not abandon from overwhelm!

Getting beyond the overwhelm point in particular, demands such discipline, I feel: it is part of unraveling our true, symbiotic relationship with Nature, as a Divine Co-Creator: we might have to wrestle a little with the power of our own action, struggle into mastery, feel like Nature is trying to resist our relationship or even fight with us! But there's a heavenly point in which we can creatively balance, discern and tweak artistically - whilst keeping a grounded and humble overview of the whole place we're inter-relating in. Then magic unfolds, things begin to thrive incredibly, and we might get a sense of ourselves being alchemists and activators of the divine order of all things - the sacred geometry between dimensions being activated by our conscious and open-ended expansive inter-relating!
