Going through a depression picture is one of the most horrible things that exist mainly because you have to fight against yourself and it is not easy. No longer wanting to continue but follow that hope in the depths of your heart and that drives you to move forward, it is as if at times you feel chains in your hands or that you are locked up forever, as if the emptiness absorbed you at night.

There were moments where the anxiety added up and all the unresolved problems echoed in my mind, as if everything will turn gray and you will no longer find any sense in dreaming, to the point where you feel toxic to your environment that you seek to lock yourself in a false Actually, insomnia when you feel your heart melt and tears constantly remind you that you are oppressed.

Everything I lived through was what brought me to this point, feeling resentful towards my family and even myself, being in search of truth in a world that is simplified in chaos, wanting to run in the afternoons but not being able to do so because the mood they were very cropped, walking like a dead man without being a zombie or maybe he was.

What kept me going was my desire to want to get out of the affliction, I knew that one day everything I felt and couldn't express would end; I also focused on the fact that it did exist, it was with a purpose beyond what I could see, I kept imagining in one day being happy, I reached a breaking point where my only option was to kneel down and cry out to God to see if it was real , if I found an answer.

God answered and showed me that it is real, he worked in my heart to the point that I began to have a thirst that only He could quench, I got to know him and my life changed completely I discovered that all the truth was found in his word and that I should to die to be reborn, that's how I was able to get out of that situation and manage to see the sun. Perhaps the desert could have been easier, but if it had been, I couldn't tell you this right now.

Yes, you are living something similar! I invite you to seek God, I am sure that He can help you and get rid of what you feel but you must surrender completely, sometimes it sounds absurd to many but God needs you to give him your heart so that you can find fulfillment in your life. There is a verse that I have titled my life and it is Psalm 23:4 that says: Although before the valley of shadow and death I will fear no evil because you go with me.

Also remember to be that support for those who are experiencing this situation, here are three tips that can help you:

    • Listen (Allows the person to vent).
    • Be intentional (Get him out of his comfort zone and share whenever you can with that person, who feels that he has someone to trust).
    • Affirm blessing over his life (Beyond words with actions you can guide him to feel good about himself looking for this person to obtain a balance and not become dependent on you).

I have learned that everything in life has a purpose, having gone through a depression showed me that God was real for others, perhaps it is making them see the value he has, or perhaps leaving them with a deeper teaching where they will find meaning in their lives. without being dependent on people but on God who is the only one who will never let us down. Amen.
