La música es en el arte tan versátil como la vida misma, no importa el escenario; siempre habrá una melodía para cada ocasión. Esta semana nuestra amiga @nancybmp nos propone una temática atrevida e interesante.

Aunque ciertamente no vengo con frecuencia, quería participar y tenía a la mano esta pieza que me parece una creación hermosa del dúo Irlandés/Noruego "Secret Garden".

Song from a Secret Garden forma parte del disco "Songs From a Secret Garden" publicado en el año 1995 por la agrupación ya mencionada. Bastó con solo escucharla una vez para inmediatamente plantearme ejecutarla, me encantan estas melodías que transportan y evocan paz.

Técnicamente, la obra exige al violinista ejecutante dominio del legato y la expresión, saber jugar con las dinámicas y el fraseo sin llegar a ser demasiado abrupto en los cambios de cuerdas.

La afinación debe ser muy precisa, incluso más que en otras circunstancias en las que se puede jugar con esta y que para oídos más diestros parece algo obvio y necesario, en la mayoría del tiempo el violín solista está en octava con otros instrumentos, lo cual hace que el vibrato deba ser más sutil en notas muy largas para no alterar la afinación.

Although I certainly don't come here often, I wanted to participate and I had this piece at hand, which I think is a beautiful creation by the Irish/Norwegian duo "Secret Garden".

Song from a Secret Garden is part of the album "Songs From a Secret Garden" released in 1995 by the aforementioned group. I only had to listen to it once to immediately consider playing it, I love these melodies that transport and evoke peace.

Technically, the work requires the violinist to master legato and expression, to know how to play with dynamics and phrasing without being too abrupt in the changes of strings.

The tuning must be very precise, even more so than in other circumstances in which it can be played with, and which to more skilled ears seems obvious and necessary, in most of the time the solo violin is in octave with other instruments, which means that the vibrato must be more subtle in very long notes so as not to alter the tuning.

Hay que rendir honor a quien honor merece y por supuesto no podía dejar de mostrarles la versión oficial de esta hermosísima pieza. Aunque es solo una pieza instrumental, la carencia de letra no es netamente importante, ya que por sí sola nota tras nota, nos lleva justo a donde queramos ir.

La cata musical se vuelve un hábito cuando te encuentras con obras como esta, cultivemos siempre el buen gusto y sobre todo hoy día que se ha perdido mucho el arte de crear buena música y géneros carentes de delicadeza y detalle están dominando la industria.

We must honor those who deserve honor, and of course, I could not fail to show you the official version of this beautiful piece. Although it is only an instrumental piece, the lack of lyrics is clearly not important, as note after note alone takes us right where we want to go.

Music tasting becomes a habit when you come across works like this, let's always cultivate good taste, especially nowadays when the art of creating good music has been lost and genres lacking delicacy and detail are dominating the industry.
