Nirvana fue una de las bandas de la época que tomó el grunge como base, haciendo temas para una juventud rebelde e irreverente. “Nirvana” fue una banda norteamericana marcada por el éxito y la tragedia, terminando en poco tiempo un increíble éxito debido al supuesto suicidio de su vocalista y guitarra principal. En las composiciones de las líneas de bajo de esta banda, predomina el minimalismo, dándole una forma muy armónica variando ritmos del rock. “Krist Novoselic” fue el bajista de esta banda desde sus inicios en el año 1987 y a pesar de no ser conocido como un bajista muy virtuoso, sus composiciones son realmente épicas.
