Hi Folks
This morning I have been revisiting some songs I havent played in a while.Im heading to a 30th birthday party later today with some other musicians I havent seen in over a year.
I expect we will spend the night singing songs around a campfire so Ive been digging up some classic country tunes.
This is "Country Roads by John Denver.
I hope you guys enjoy my version of this classic tune.
"Country Roads"
John Denver
Almost heaven, West Virginia
Blue ridge mountains, Shenandoah river
Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains, flowin' like a breeze
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads
All my memories, gather 'round her
Miner's daughter, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads
I hear her voice, in the mornin' hour she calls me
The radio reminds me of my home far away
Drivin' down the road I get a feelin'
That I should have been home yesterday
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads
Take me home, (down) country roads
