Howdy Foodies
I've seen a couple of nice bread related posts in this community lately and I decided to post one of my own simple recipes.
This one is quick and simple to prepare. Here is everything we need.
We start by mixing 250g flour into a bowl along with 2 teaspoons of salt ,1 egg ,2 tablespoon's of milk and 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
Once the mixture starts to stick together we can take our dough out and start kneading it.
Knead the dough for a few minutes until it is nice and smooth.
Next we roll out the dough nice and flat so we can add some fillings.
First I added some tomato sauce.
Then a mixture of grated and fresh mozzerella.
Next I folded the edges of the dough in until we have something that looks like this.
Turn the dough over so the folded side is on the bottom and roll it with a rolling pin to flatten it out a little more. Dont press down to heavily or the fillings will ooze out.
Now all we need to do is add some oil to a frying pan, heat it up and we are ready to cook our bread.
Cook on both sides until the dough is nicely browned. I forgot to put my extractor fan on and accidently set of my smoke alarm. I while I was putting of the alarm I left this one a little longer than I should have and it got a little darker than I would have liked.
Garnish with some grated cheese on top and your good to eat it.This entire process from start to finish takes maybe 10-15 minutes and makes a nice tasty snack or a bread that would make a nice side to any pasta dish
