Hello everyone! Today I'm joining @saravm82's initiative, gothic makeup. And I must say that as soon as I saw the publication I felt very excited because this style of makeup is one of my favorites and I usually do it for some of my videos. So, here I tell you a little bit about how was the makeup process, the result and a video that summarizes everything described above. Without further ado, let's get to it!

First of all I must say that this style, besides being a very beautiful fashion, I think that in terms of music, is a gem. So I accompanied the video with a musical background of the Gothic/Doom Metal band, Type O Negative, with their song Black No 1. One of their most famous songs and one that shows off this video with its authentic sound. I leave you here, the original video from where the song comes from.

¡Hola a todos! El día de hoy me sumo a la iniciativa de @saravm82, maquillaje gótico. Y debo decir que en cuanto ví la publicación sentí muchísima emoción ya que este estilo de maquillaje es de mis favoritos y suelo realizarlo para algunos de mis videos. Así que, aquí les comento un poco como fue el proceso de maquillaje, el resultado y un vídeo que resume todo lo anteriormente descritos. Sin más ¡Vamos a ello!

Antes que nada debo decir que este estilo, además de ser una moda muy hermosa, me parece que en cuanto a su música, es toda una joya. Por lo que acompañe al vídeo con un fondo musical de la banda de Gothic/Doom Metal, Type O Negative, con su canción Black No 1. Uno de sus temas más famosos y que hacen gala a este video con su auténtico sonido. Les dejo acá, el vídeo original de dónde provienen la canción.

The first step I have done is to clean the face with makeup remover and facial soap, dry and apply moisturizer. Then I applied primer, cream foundation and liquid contour. I finished sealing with pressed powder and applied makeup fixer.

El primer paso que he realizado es el de limpiar el rostro con desmaquillante y jabón facial, secar y aplicar crema hidratante. Luego he aplicado el primer, una base en crema y contorno líquido. Termine de sellar con polvo compacto y apliqué fijador de maquillaje.

Once that stage was finished, I proceeded to do the eyeliner with black eyeliner. The shape that this eyeliner would have is simple, with an almost straight angle. I didn't want to apply other eyeliner styles so as not to overload the makeup, since what mattered to me was the color and effect of the smoky eyes.

Una vez terminada esa etapa, procedí a hacer el delineado de ojos con delineador negro. La forma que tendría este delineado es sencillo, con un ángulo casi recto. No quise aplicar otros estilos de delineados para no recargar el maquillaje, ya que lo que me importaba era el color y efecto de los ojos ahumados.Tambien resaltar las cejas en negro.

Then, thinking in representative colors of this style I used black and red for the eyeshadow. Starting from the final tip of the eye with a fairly intense black and blending gradually towards the contour, to apply in the tear area the red color and unify both. Also some red on the lower part of the eyes.

Luego, pensando en colores representativos de este estilo he utilizado el negro y el rojo para la sombra de ojos. Comenzando desde la punta final del ojo con un negro bastante intenso y difuminando poco a poco hacia el contorno, para aplicar en la zona del lagrimal el color rojo y unificar ambos. También algo de rojo en la parte de abajo de los ojos.

Taking advantage of my eyeshadow, I used red and pink as blush for the cheeks as it resembles the makeup style used by some Goth Rock artists in the 80s. As well as I also find that it softens the face a bit and doesn't give such a harsh look.

Tomando ventaja de mi sombra de ojos, utilice los colores rojo y rosa como rubor para las mejillas ya que eso se asemeja al estilo de maquillaje que utilizaban algunos artistas del Goth Rock en los años 80. Así como también me parece que suaviza un poco el rostro y no da un aspecto tan duro.

Finally I added the black lipstick. At this point I had to improvise; outline the lips with black pencil and fill in with the help of black eye shadows, using a brush for this. I applied the mascara and this, my friends, was the final result.

Finalmente he añadido el labial negro. A este punto he tenido que improvisar; delinee los labios con lápiz negro y rellene con la ayuda de sombras para ojos negras, utilizando un pincel para ello. Aplique la máscara de pestañas y este, amigas mías, ha sido el resultado final.

The truth is that I loved how it turned out, since I achieved a makeup that honors the gothic style and that rescues its early beginnings of some pioneering artists in this style. I also ventured to make an updo hairstyle a little messy and used as clothing a black corset and some accessories. This inactive has made me very happy. La verdad, es que me ha encantado como ha quedado, ya que logré un maquillaje que hace honor al estilo gótico y que rescata sus primeros inicios de algunos artistas pioneros en este estilo. También me aventure a realizar un peinado recogido un poco desprolijo y utilice como vestimenta un corsé negro y algunos accesorios. Está inactiva me ha hecho muy feliz.
