    English Version

Hello to everyone in the Music community! Today I bring you a new cover. This is the song 'Superstar' by the American duo, The Carpenters. One of their most famous songs, it has already reached the number one spot in countries like the United States and Canada. The truth is, this version of The Carpenters is one of the most beautiful.

Originally the song was written by Bramlett and Leon Russell in 1969 and several artists used its composition to release versions of it. This is the case of The Carpenters when in 1971 they released their album 'Carpenters' which included the single 'Superstar'. With Karen's beautiful voice, the song takes on a melancholic atmosphere as she tells us how her beloved (it sounds like a musician, guitarist) promised to come back to her side and has not. Perhaps also, under my interpretation, it could be not only a formal relationship but also the story of some groupie who dreamed that her favorite artist would stay by her side.

Finally my friends, I leave you with the music video for you to judge on your own. I must say that I really enjoyed doing these two covers and although it was quite a challenge, performing these songs that I have loved and admired so much, is becoming a way of life. I can only say thank you very much for stopping by, commenting, voting and supporting my work. If you want to suggest any song, you can do it through the comments and I will be happy to please you. I send you a big hug and I'll see you next time.

    Lyrics/Letra

    [Verse 1]
Long ago and oh so far away
I fell in love with you
    Before the second show
Your guitar, it sounds so sweet and clear
    But you're not really here
    It's just the radio

    [Chorus]
Don't you remember you told me you loved me baby
You said you'd be coming back this way again baby
Baby, baby, baby, baby, oh, baby
I love you, I really do

    [Verse 2]
Loneliness is a such a sad affair
And I can hardly wait to be with you again
What to say to make you come again (Ooo baby)
Come back to me again (Ooo baby)
And play your sad guitar (Ooo)

    [Chorus]
Don't you remember you told me you loved me baby
You said you'd be coming back this way again baby
Baby, baby, baby, baby, oh, baby
I love you, I really do
Don't you remember you told me you loved me baby
You said you'd be coming back this way again baby
Baby, baby, baby, baby, oh, baby
I love you, I really do
