    English

Greetings friends of the hive platform.

The first important thing to emphasize is that every fluid has a density, and when this fluid is contained in a container it exerts a certain pressure in the various points of the container that contains it, this pressure is a parameter that can be constant per unit of length of the container, this is what is commonly known as pressure gradient and is measured in units of pressure over units of length, for example:

    • Newton/meters
    • Bar/centimeters
    • Atmosphere/Decometer

However, the units of pressure gradient that I named earlier are units of the international system of measurement, and I make this comment because the example I am going to mention is an example of a fluid that is found inside an oil well and as I mentioned earlier, the units of measurement in the oil industry are made in units of the English system.

In conclusion, if we are given the density of any fluid, we can know what pressure that fluid will exert for each unit of length in the container that is going to contain it. If, on the other hand, they tell us the pressure gradient of the fluid contained in a certain container, then we can calculate its density.

In the case of this audiovisual resource, we have the example in which we are given the pressure gradient of any fluid contained in an oil well, in which we are asked to find the density of said fluid. My invitation is for you to visualize this video and appreciate the equations and unit transformations used to find the density of said fluid from its pressure gradient.
