How is my dear Hive community? I hope very well, today I want to share a little about my experience at GAMECON, an annual video game convention that takes place in the city where I currently reside, this being: Montevideo - Uruguay, finally we agree that there are not many hivers who share about the experiences, events or life of this little country so it is a challenge for me to share a little about what life is like here.

¿Como se encuentra mi querida comunidad de Hive?, espero que muy bien, hoy quiero compartirles un poco en mi experiencia en la GAMECON, una convencion de videojuegos anual que se realiza en la ciudad donde resido actualmente, siendo esta: Montevideo - Uruguay, finalmente estamos de acuerdo que no existen muchos hivers que compartan sobre las experiencias, eventos o vida de este paisito asi que es un reto para mi compartirles un poco sobre como es la vida aqui.

It all looks great fun, but what is GameCon? Basically it is an activity that takes place once a year, which brings together video game fans and technology companies, where you can test equipment, try games, attend talks, compete in tournaments (video game, rap and cosplay) and enjoy from an environment completely related to video games, from my perspective a very good concept.

I had the opportunity to play games like fortnite, halo, pubg for the first time on last generation computers and I was even able to use virtual reality equipment like the oculus quest and try the video game Beat Saber, the latter being something totally new and fun for me, I'm counting the days until I buy my own oculus quest because it's the best.

Todo se ve muy divertido, pero ¿que es la GameCon básicamente es una actividad que se realiza una vez al año, que reúne a fanáticos de los videojuegos y empresas de tecnología, donde se puede probar equipos, probar juegos, asistir a charlas, competir en torneos (de videojuegos, rap y cosplay) y disfrutar de un ambiente completamente relacionado a los videojuegos, desde mi perspectiva un concepto muy bueno.

Tuve la oportunidad de jugar por primera vez en computadoras de ùltima generación juegos como fortnite, halo, pubg e incluso pude utilizar equipos de realidad virtual como el oculus quest y probar el videojuego Beat Saber, siendo este último algo totalmente novedoso y divertido para mi, estoy contando los días hasta comprarme mi propio oculus quest porque es lo maximo.

Unos de los patrocinadores oficiales del evento fue el banco santander, el cual brindaba al evento descuentos del 20% al comprar equipos con dicha tarjeta, sin embargo el evento estuvo lleno de sorteos, muchas personas llevaron a casa mouse, teclados, gamepads y auriculares totalemente gratis solo por el hecho de haber asisitido, también se presentaba el lanzamiento de los nuevos cajeros automáticos para criptomonedas a cargo de la empresa Biner ATM, esto me parece un gran avance y una mejora sustancial para los que utilizamos criptoactivos dentro del pais.

Para acceder al evento podías comprar las entradas por la web o comprarlas directamente en la puerta del evento, tenian un costo de 490 pesos (11.99$) paraa un dia o 790 pesos (19.32$) para dos dias, aunque pagando con santander te saldria 20% de descuento.

The Gamecon was held in the kibon event hall, located in the Pocitos neighborhood in Montevideo, a few meters from the emblematic letters of Montevideo, which I have already told you about previously.

Me hubiera gustado participar en algun torneo en juegos de los que concurridamente participo pero aunque la presentación de titulos incluía: LOL, fortnite, halo, fallguys, pubg, valorant, free fire, street fighter, fifa 23, counter strike, spiderman, doom, los torneos oficiales solo eran para LOL, batallas de rap, cosplay entre otros, al menos fue asi el dia que yo asistí, siendo este el domingo 16/11/2022.

La Gamecon fue realizado en el salón de eventos kibon, ubicado en el barrio de Pocitos en Montevideo a pocos metros de las emblemáticas letras de Montevideo de las cuales ya les he hablado anteriormente.

Although I only attended one day and could not see all the activities that took place at Gamecon, I think it was a great day, entertaining and full of fun, I think that the cost of admission is in line with the economy of the country and even I think it was money well invested, I really liked having free access to all the latest generation equipment, I was able to freely use equipment that I had never even tried before and the 360 camera theme seemed very top to me, during the tournaments one feels the emotion of the teams and the organization of the event seemed very good.

I highly recommend those who like this whole world like me not to miss the opportunity to attend the next event because I will undoubtedly go to try, enjoy and learn about the latest in the world of video games and technology for publishing. 2023.

A pesar de que solo asistí un día y no pude ver todas las actividades que se realizaron en la Gamecon, creo que fue un gran dia, entretenido y lleno diversión, opino que el costo de la entrada esta acorde a la economía del pais e incluso opino que fue un dinero bien invertido, me agrado mucho tener libre acceso a todos los equipos de ultima generación, pude utilizar libremente equipos que incluso nun antes había probado y el tema de la cámara 360 me parecío muy top, durante los torneos uno siente la emoción de los equipos y la organización del evento me pareció muy buena.

Recomiendo enormemente a los que les gusta todo este mundo como a mi que no pierdan la oportunidad de asistir para el próximo evento porque yo sin duda voy a ir para probar, disfrutar y conocer lo ultimo en el mundo de los videojuegos y tecnología para la edición 2023.
