Full on weekend last week, completed a big area of floor painting with thankfully no ill effects using two face masks and using two desk fans for extraction. Also ripped apart the old grotty sink unit, refurbed the existing sink with new plug and waste trap, refitted the taps and cut a worktop for the sink and siliconed the edges to death to keep the water on top and the base unit usable as storage.
Took out one base unit, put in two new ones, with 2.5m of worktop for the sink and then also a new area for making drinks hard wiring in a kettle and three pint filter coffee brewer. All done and ready for work on Monday morning.
Busy week topped off with a hectic Friday, a new piece of kit arrived an electric pallet stacker to make moving pallets of green coffee into the building easier - at around 500kg per pallet and getting two or three a week it's heavy work pulling a manual pallet truck. Plus the electric truck has lifting forks so we can stack pallets of stock to make better use of space and racking.
Ended Friday with 8 full batches through the 30kg roaster, the most so far in a single run - that's a lot of coffee! Some bulk orders already sold the rest stock to fulfill next weeks orders.
