A couple of years ago, my sister in law started or participated (I'm not sure which anymore) an inititive
on Facebook called "Be Still 60" where she would post a video either every week or day (again, I don't remember)
that was 60 seconds long and was something calming that you could listen to.
Whenever @mrsbozz and I were on our travels we would keep an eye out for relaxing places where
we could take a video to share with her sister. In fact, I think her sister was getting videos from people
all over the country and she would give them a shout out when she shared that particular video.
I've been pretty clear about the fact that I don't normally do video content. I don't consider myself even a
passable public speaker and I don't like the sound of my voice, so why would I want to share that with the
world. Although, if you knew where to look, there is a Youtube Channel that has me speaking in some public meetings.
Not to dox myself or anything.
The idea of taking a moment to just relax and clear your mind is pretty well known and accepted. My wife has
an app on her phone called "Calm" and every day at 4 PM a gong chimes and you are supposed to be quiet and
not say anything until you can't hear the gong anymore.
There has also been a lot of research into the benefits of "white noise" and now "brown noise" for helping with
mental health issues like ADHD and Autism (or the PC term nuerodivergence).
In any event, I thought if I was going to dip my toes in the water with 3Speak, what better way than to share a
video I took on the shores of Lake Huron just about a month ago. I've written several other posts about how
we were able to score a prime campsite right along the water.
We spent the better part of our few days that weekend sitting by the lake and just watching the water and listening to the waves
It was so thereputic.
Believe it or not, it's actually quite hard to get a solid one minute video without it being interrupted. The
worst part is when you are just about to that 60 minute mark and something happens that requires you to
start all over again.
Talk about frustrating!
I hope you enjoy this video. If I get a good response, it might not be the last one I do. Like I said, @mrsbozz and I
have been saving up videos for years to share with her sister. I should point out, her sister doesn't really do the
"Be Still 60" thing anymore, and the only videos I share will be ones that myself or my wife took, so hopefully there
shouldn't be any issue or concern about recycled content.
Despite my apprehension, there has always been something about creating video content that "tugs" at me.
Who knows, if I get comfortable doing this, you might actually see a proper video of me one day.
Don't hold your breath though!
